Product Release Notes: March 2018 Edition
We completed quite a bunch of new features and improvements this March across all of our feature sets. You'll notice an emphasis on more design control and self-service functionality.
Protect against data holes with Default Merge Fields
If it's typical to have constituents in need of event tickets you don't want to charge payment for, we now have a feature to support this. Uncheck the "Does this transaction require payment?" option and a constituent will be registered with the correct ticket, but no dollars will be processed or counted in the ticket sales for that event.
New Giving Home Screen Composer
You wanted more control over which funds appear first in your giving platform, so we built a new screen that you can design yourself. Choose a Featured Fund then designate the other pages you want to follow. You can even decide where the Recommended Pages go. Try switching up this screen just as often as you were the Featured Fund.
Keep your "For You" items fresh
To keep curated stories recent but still maintain a full feed of content, we gave curated items their own expiration date. For example, a "For You" story couldn't be older than 30 days while regular content would last for 90.
Just let us know your desired expiration date and we'll set it in the back-end.
Process every type of refund through QuadHub
So that you don't have to ever leave QuadHub for payment processing functions, we added a refund option for both gifts and membership purchases. Find this option by clicking into the transaction detail screen for an entry (just like you do now with event tickets).
QuadWeb audit to ensure users are always returned to pre-login page
It's important we don't disrupt user flow when prompting a constituent to login. We audited QuadWeb to identify any places where the user wasn't returned to their previous screen after logging in, and fixed the ones we found.
We locked your critical event fields for you
Once your event goes Live, critical event fields (such as date and time) will lock to prevent any accidental changes. We'll ask you to confirm your changes before allowing them to be saved.
Removed uploaded event photos from the main feed
The home feeds were looking a little cluttered when you had users uploading lots of event photos at once (which is great, btw). We changed it so that photos are only viewable by clicking on the photo Gallery for that event.
Clearer prompt for primary email address updates
The email address pre-fills for logged-in users on any transaction checkout screen. What users didn't realize was that changing that email address would update their primary email address preference. Users can still update their email address, but now they have to go to their Account page to do so.
Extra identity confirmation email for payroll gifts
We added an extra identity confirmation step for gifts made via payroll deduction. Before a gift can be submitted, the constituent will have to click on the automated email from us to double confirm their identity.
